Vintage Bjorn Wiinblad Christmas Plates: New to the Design Store!

These annual plates began in 1971. Bjorn Wiinblad commented on his Christmas Carols collection: "In my work I draw inspiration mainly from two things: music and literature. It always gives me the greatest gift of pleasure to allow myself to be inspired by an opera or ballet. But it is not only the works of great musicians that inspire me. A "simple" folkong is just as charming and appearling. That's why, when Rosenthal asked me to design a new series, I decided to illustrate on porcelain a choice selection of the world's most beautiful Christmas carols."
