Out of Denmark, An Immigrant Story - Paperback Book

The story is about two people, Niels Christian and Laura Birgitte Bro, who emigrated from Denmark, found each other in America, and then shared their lives. The overall story is true. Actual names are used for family members, close friends, and associates. It is based on genealogical studies, letters from relatives living at the time, and memories of the author—their youngest child. Much of the dialogue, some specific incidents, and names of people are fictional. The story is written in commemoration of the 100th year since Laura's emigration to America.
