What drives an artist to create amid Scandinavia's farthest reaches? How do the stark contrasts of winter's perpetual darkness and summer's unending daylight fuel the inner worlds and influence the creative expression of those living on the edge of the Arctic Circle?  

Scattered across the peripheries of the Nordic region -- places far removed from conventional art epicenters -- eight artists, together forming the Art Alliance of the Arctic South (A-A-A-S) draw inspiration from the landscapes and cultural tapestry unique to this part of the world.  

Their work emerges not just as a reflection of both the peaceful and the rugged aspects of the landscape but as commentary on global socio-economic issues and the pressing climate crisis.
