In the fictionalized scene depicted on this ornament, the museum's Jens Dixen Cabin sits in a frosty glade that's flanked by ice-glazed deciduous trees. The image of the trees is from an ice storm that occurred on the morning of Julefest 2016, which was followed by gleaming sunshine that created a surreal, sparkling universe. The cabin, which is in the park to the north of the museum building, was moved from North Dakota in 1999 and was restored by the Cedar Valley Danes.

Jens Dixen was a Danish immigrant, school teacher, and lay preacher who arrived in the area of Kenmare, North Dakota around 1901 and taught boys in this house, primarily focused on spiritual training. Ornament measures approximately 3.25 x 2.75 inches.
